A Dream

Creating space to be in awe with the world

Wonder is the collection that began my art career and passion for creating.

I was in high school, sitting on the floor of my childhood bedroom, blaring Wonder by Shawn Mendes as I painted. I would replay the music video over and over again, lost in thought, dancing around my room, singing to the song, and feeling everything so deeply.

Growing up I spent a lot of my time in my head. I filled multiple journals with my ideas, dreams, and thoughts. My summer days were spent reading and writing, laying in the grass beneath maple trees that stretched high into the sky. I would stare up at the leaves and imagine myself in the treetops. That sense of imagination has always been central to my creative practice.

A New Dawn

Wonder is the collection I let myself dream. It is where i created without expectations, letting curiosity and emotion guide the process rather than focusing on an outcome. I played with incorporating different mediums and styles within each painting. The result was expressive, colorful and richly textured paintings.

This collection is a beautiful combination of imagination and observation, encapsulating my the feeling of being in wonder with natural world.
